These are mostly of the Class III variety – i.e.
Roughly 18-20 states have commercial casinos, but nearly all states with legal gambling houses also have tribal casinos. That said, many others have recently proposed or passed legislation to open casinos within their borders, so that number is growing annually.
Right now, 30 or so states have legal physical casinos in operation.
